Monster Honing Powder is a highly advanced and unique Marble Honing Powder.   Expertly formulated to remove etching, it lightly refines marble and limestone, providing a dull finish that is ready for polishing. Monster Honing Powder can be used on floors, worktops and walls. 
 
Monster Honing Powder is also effective on Terrazzo, travertine, Limestone and Agglomerated stones.
 
DO NOT USE ON: Granite, black or green marble as these can be sensitive and more challenging to polish
 
Full training is recommended before using this product.

  • Instructions for use:

     

    Test an inconspicuous area for any adverse reaction.

     

    This product is intended for trade use only after intensive stone care training.

     

    Monster honing powder is ready to use. The areas you wish to restore need to be be totally free from wax coatings, sealers. They need to have been cleaned, neutralised and rinsed thoroughly. 

     

    Prior to polishing always apply Stain Gard SB

     

    Directions for use:  

    Step 1:   Apply 10-15g of Monster Honing Powder to 1 square metre.

     

    Step 2:   Add a small amount of water. Using a stone polishing machine (slow speed – min 40 kg) and a natural fibre pad, work the powder into the stone creating a thin slurry. Polish in small, circular motions to control the slurry. Ensure the powder does not dry out.

     

    Step 3:   Keep the movable slurry wet - continuously apply a small amount of water as needed (try to maintain a yogurt-type consistency throughout).

     

    Step 4:   Depending on the type of stone, it may take 3-5 minutes to produce the finish required.  Stop to check throughout the process. Repeat if necessary to achieve desired shine.

     

    Step 5:   When the required finish has been achieved, remove the slurry and rinse the area using Natural Stone Cleaner. Dry and buff.

     

    Step 6:   If the floor is to be left in a less polished, more honed condition – we recommend applying Stain Gard SB to provide strong, additional protection.

  • Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye protection.

     

    Irritant: Irritating to eyes.   In case of eye contact, rinse with plenty of water and seek medical advice.

     

    - Only use in a well ventilated area.

    - Do not breathe mist or spray.

    - Keep out of reach of children.

    - Keep away from pets.

    - Avoid contact with eyes and skin.

    - Wash hands after use.

    - If swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting - seek medical advice immediately and show this container and label.

    - Store in a cool, dry place. Do not freeze.
